Does Laughtoff = Laugh Lift Off? Let me know what you think about that one. Any way, although this is pretty late seeing as the first season has already ended, I wanted to put up a really funny cartoon, strangely showing on HBO. The Life and Times of Tim is the work of Steve Dildarian who provides the voice of Tim as he deals with neighborhood, assless pants wearing hookers, dogs pooping at work and pretending to be Hispanic. Check out the episode below.
This is the video for Money by the incredible N.A.S.A. (North America South America). The track features David Byrne, Chuck D, Ras Congo, Seu Jorge, & Z-Trip. Download. N.A.S.A. is bringing together crazy artists. The video features artwork by Shepard Fairey, of Obey and the Hope Obama poster. We’re really loving the N.A.S.A. tracks and looking for the album The Spirit Of Apollo to drop on 2/17/09.
This video sums up how I feel recently about rap music these days. Hip hop artists are skimping on lady singers to fill in their hooks; so they’re doing it themselves. Doing more with less? More like doing nothing with less. Kanye anyone?
In related news, earlier this week, Stephen Colbert launched an attack on Kanye West. Called “Humble Kanye West,” Stephen Colbert was getting his troops together to take over the #1 Album spot on iTunes with his Christmas album. On Monday he said:
“You’re not the voice of a generation. With all that Auto-Tuning, you’re even the voice of your own album.”
Damon Weaver released another video calling for Obama to interview with him. If you don’t already know him, he is a 10-year-old from Canal Point Elementary School in Florida. He’s interviewed Biden, Dwayne Wade and tried to interview McCain, and has his sights set on Obama.
This video takes the editing to another level. These kids are really impressive and this program is great. Watch the video below and tell your friends.
A friend tipped me off to Blu. Blu is a graffiti, sketch and video artist in London, I believe. His book of sketches can be found on his website and look sick, but he also recently released this “wall-painted animation” called “Muto.” Watch in awe.
